ME4 adds King Abdullah Port calls
Maersk’s ME4 service, which links the Middle East to Europe, has extended its port rotation by adding a call at King Abdullah Port (Saudi Arabia). The Danish carrier has thus brought its maritime service closer to its 100,000 sqm warehouse in the Saudi Arabian Port. Maersk’s logistics hub at King Abdullah Port focuses primarily on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical exporters.
The ME4’s eastbound Europe to the Middle East service will nevertheless continue to call at Jeddah Islamic Port (also in Saudi Arabia), and the deployed capacity will also remain unchanged.
The ME4’s other ports of call are Tanger Med 2, Port Tangier, Alexandria, Port Said, Jeddah, Salah, Doha, Jebel Ali and Salalah before returning to Jeddah. (sh)
