Matthew Luckhurst to take over
APM Terminals Bahrain, which operates Khalifa Bin Salman Port, has appointed Matthew Luckhurst as its new managing director for Bahrain. He will assume the role on 2 July 2023.
Luckhurst, a British national, joins APM Terminals from his current position as vice president for container shipping at Milaha based in Qatar. His previous responsibilities include vice president of Bahri Logistics in Saudi Arabia and managing director United Africa feeder line out of Mauritius.
Additionally, Luckhurst held multiple roles with P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk Line, in East Africa, Indonesia, Korea and Japan, as well as a short role with Kuehne & Nagel in Kenya.
Luckhurst replaces CFO and interim managing director Farooq Zuberi, who took over the helm after the previous managing director resigned for personal reasons. (cj)
