Martha Payne honoured for leadership in logistics sector
Martha Payne, a transport attorney at Benesch, has been honoured with 2025’s ‘Distinguished Woman in Logistics’ award, presented by the association Women in Trucking, Truckstop and the Transportation Intermediaries Association.
Payne’s career spans more than four decades, during which she broke barriers in a male-dominated sector and championed diversity and inclusion. She has extensive expertise in cargo liability, supply chain management and regulatory issues and remains a trusted advisor to carriers, shippers and logistics firms.
Beyond her legal career, Payne has mentored countless industry professionals and served on boards promoting education, peace and the arts. This award not only recognises her professional achievements but also her lasting impact on the logistics community, as well as her role in encouraging more women to pursue leadership positions in the supply chain.
