Marketing expert for southwest France

Synergy, the rail operator of the Hutchison Ports group Hutchison Logistics, recently appointed marketing expert Alberto Jiménez to its commercial department, in keeping with its commitment to promote integral logistics services on the Bayonne-Noáin-Barcelona axis between France and Spain.

The company aims to provide “better intermodal operation in terms of time, price and respect for the environment,” according to a press release.

The intermodal service between Southwest France and Hutchison Ports “Best Terminal” in Barcelona, the first semi-automated terminal of the group and the largest railway terminal in the Mediterranean ports, was launched in February 2020.

Synergy also offers a wide range of logistics services from the Noáin Intermodal Terminal near Pamplona in the north of Spain.

Jiménez will focus on offering companies a comprehensive "port-to-door" service, which, thanks to the railway, will help to reduce CO2 emissions, costs, and transit times for imports and exports. The railway link saved 12 t of C02 in 2020. (amh)
