Mark Slade now in Canada – for DP World
DP World has appointed Mark Slade as its new vice-president for freight forwarding in Canada.
He’ll be based in Vancouver and will lead the development of the group’s forwarding operations in Canada. Slade brings nearly 30 years of industry experience with him, having held senior roles at DHL Global Forwarding in Hong Kong, Macau and Japan, as well as positions at Thyssen Haniel Logistics, Kuehne + Nagel and Evergreen International Airlines.
He’s also contributed to industry bodies, including GS1 Hong Kong and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Doug Smith, CEO of DP World in Canada, said Slade’s leadership will support the company's goal of expanding agile and customer-focused supply chain solutions in North America.
DP World operates on six continents with over 100,000 employees, including 16,000 in the Americas. (ah)
