MAPNY/NJ chooses Stephen Lyman
The Maritime Association of the Port of New York/ New Jersey has appointed Stephen Lyman as executive director.
Lyman most recently was commercial associate director at the Journal of Commerce. Before that, he served as the Port Newark associate director of the New York-based Seamen’s Church Institute, which advocates for the personal, professional and spiritual well-being of merchant mariners and seafarers around the world.
Lyman has nearly two decades of experience in various operational roles in the non-profit sector. He holds dual bachelor degrees in operations management and sociology from Montclair State University and a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in non-profit management from Rutgers University, Newark.
