Manchester hub now open

DB Schenker has unveiled its latest hub at Trafford Park, featuring around 5,110 sqm of warehousing and office space. This move builds DB Schenker’s capacity in the Greater Manchester area.

Designed for the logistics provider’s operations in the UK and Ireland, the GBP 11 million facility is equipped for transport and contract logistics. It has been designated as Tapa A, AEO and customs approved and can thus provide diverse services in the region. Purchased in late September 2023 (as seen in ITJ Daily 21 September 2023), the hub offers 4,413 sqm for warehousing and a further 697 sqm for offices.

Trafford Councillor Tom Ross opened the facility for the company. Speaking about the hub’s impact on the Manchester market, he said: “This is a momentous occasion that will attract millions of pounds of investment into the borough – and it is also testament to the company’s commitment to the Greater Manchester area.” (mk)
