Making Thailand and Laos services more efficient
In Thailand and Laos, Ceva Logistics and its holding company CMA CGM have launched a new cross-border service for ocean freight containers used by customers across both countries.
The combined ocean freight and cross-border trucking service enables importers to drop off their empty containers at a newly expanded CMA CGM container depot, operated by Ceva, outside the Laos capital Vientiane. This avoids return legs to bring back empty containers to the Thai port of Laem Chabang where they entered the country.
Ceva Logistics is expanding its operations in the Southeast Asia markets, for instance by opening an office in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) on 27 May 2019. (kd)
