Major facility expansion at Canadian airport

KF Aerospace, a Canadian company which provides maintenance and engineering services and operates cargo feeder services to British Columbia, is adding a CAD30 million (EUR 20 million) extension to its aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Hamilton airport (YHM), Ontario.

The project adds 14,000 sqm and over 275 new jobs. Its centrepiece is a new 7,000 sqm hangar that will introduce widebody aircraft capability and additional lines of maintenance to KF’s Hamilton operation.

The extension is expected to triple KF’s business in the Hamilton marketplace, expanding the company’s ability to support the country’s fastest growing airport and its international cargo and passenger airline partners. Construction of the widebody hangar is slated for completion in October 2019. (ah)
