Maiden voyage to Norvik
The gates to the new ro-ro terminal in Stockholm have opened. On 9 November, the Stena Line vessel “Stena Flavia” was the maiden call at Stockholm Norvik Port. The new ro-ro terminal run by Hutchison Ports Stockholm offers greater capacity and growth opportunities for shipping companies.
“We are very pleased that Stena Line has chosen this commitment to the Baltic Sea’s new mega-port,” says Johan Wallén, marketing and sales. The Stockholm Norvik Port is located in what is Sweden’s biggest consumer area.
Johan Edelman, trade director at Stena Line, responsible for routes to and from Latvia, said: "Already at the beginning of 2021 we will welcome the first of two new, modern vessels that will increase our freight-carrying capacity on the route by 30%.”
