Magnix picks CEO
Magnix, which specialises in electric power systems for the aviation industry, has named Reed Macdonald as chief executive officer (CEO).
With more than 25 years’ experience in aerospace, finance, defence, and manufacturing, Macdonald has held several board and senior executive roles, including CEO and board member at FDS Avionics, a manufacturer of electronics equipment for the business aviation and military markets. He also brings financial and commercial expertise, having led investments in companies in diverse sectors.
Headquartered in Everett, Washington State, USA, the company has developed a family of electric propulsion units (EPUs) and energy storage systems (ESS) for commercial aviation. Magnix is a subsidiary of the Clermont Group, an international conglomerate headquartered in Singapore. (cj)
