Magli Intermodal on the upswing
Brescia-based Magli Intermodal Service (MIS) ended its 2021 fiscal year with a 53% rise in turnover, to EUR 36 million, whilst the volumes of freight handled more than doubled (+118%) to almost 1.1 million t. The intermodal transport segment showed an increase of 9.5% compared to 2020 and of 29% compared to 2019, with 11,850 intermodal units transported.
Meanwhile, the company's workforce grew from 33 in 2017 to 135 early in 2022. To support increasing demand for transport and logistics from the market for steel and metal products in its greener and virtuous components (composed of recycled and inert materials), MIS has invested almost EUR 29 million in new equipment and financial leasing, whilst launching a new investment plan for mor ethan EUR 17 million between 2022 and 2024.
