Maersk expands to Sri Lanka
Logistics provider Maersk has opened a new 9,290 sqm facility in Wattala, Sri Lanka to focus on 3PL and export consolidation services. Wattala is located close to major trade routes and is only 11 km from the seaport. The warehouse can serve almost the entire Colombo market within four hours.
Both 3PL and export services will operate on an area of 4,645 sqm each. Rainwater harvesting, LED lighting, and solar module compatibility are in place as sustainability measures.
