Maersk expands in Colombia and Panama
Maersk has opened new fulfilment centres in Colombia and Panama and is investing over USD 200 million to strengthen its logistics infrastructure in Latin America and the Caribbean. The new facilities will provide high-value solutions for regional and international customers, the company says.
The Colombian centre, located in ZOL Funza, serves the pharmaceutical and consumer industries, offering warehouse management and value-added services. Maersk's second fulfilment centre in Panama, located near the capital, has 3,500 sqm of storage capacity.
These investments underline the region's potential and Maersk's commitment to integrated logistics. The company's footprint in the area now exceeds 180,000 sqm in eight facilities in Central America, Andina, and the Caribbean. (pb)
