MacGregor lands deal for twelve Cido PCTCs
MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has received an order from Cido Shipping to supply cargo access solutions for twelve pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs), with an option for eight additional vessels.
The ships will be built by China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu), with deliveries beginning in 2026 and concluding in 2029. The contract includes quarter ramps, side ramps, internal ramps, covers and liftable car decks, along with installation assistance.
MacGregor’s past work with CMHI and its existing relationship with Cido Shipping were key factors in securing the order. This agreement highlights MacGregor’s focus on delivering reliable equipment to improve vessel operations, with an emphasis on practical and effective maritime cargo handling solutions. (pb)
