MAC and Cape Air partner for pilots
The US regional carrier Cape Air and Mountain Air Cargo (MAC), a Denver CO-based airline which operate 35 Fedex Cessna Caravans and 18 Fedex ATRs on 100 daily scheduled flights, are to introduce a new pilot hiring pathway programme.
The scheme will allow pilots from both airlines to transition between the two companies in order to gain valuable flight hours and experience. It is designed to assist MAC and Cape Air in the selection, training and growth of potential new hire pilots, and to provide a designated career pathway for selected candidates.
MAC president Craig Bentley: "We are excited to partner with Cape Air and provide an outstanding opportunity for the pilots of both companies. The industry needs more of these types of agreements to ensure we can meet the needs of the marketplace and the pilots." (ah)
