’Lynn’ starts Australasian operations

Texel Air Australasia has expanded its fleet by adding a Boeing B737-800BCF, which landed in Auckland (New Zealand) last week under the 2-BPDA temporary registration.

Having stopped over in Jakarta and Denpasar (Indonesia), the aircraft continued to Hamilton, where Hamilton Aero Maintenance will support its transition into the New Zealand register as ZK-TXF. The aircraft has been named ’Lynn’ in honour of Lynn Wilks, co-owner of Bahrain-headquartered Texel Air, recognising her vital role in the company’s progress since its founding in 2013.

This expansion strengthens the airline’s capacity for charter operations, trans-Tasman services and Pacific flights. ’Lynn’ is expected to enter service soon, enhancing Texel Air’s regional connectivity. The company expressed gratitude to its teams at Chisholm Enterprises and Texel Air for their commitment in delivering the aircraft efficiently. (ah)
