Lynn C. Fritz in Logistics Hall of Fame

US entrepreneur Lynn C. Fritz (left) will be inducted into the international Logistics Hall of Fame as the founder of logistics for humanitarian organisations. To provide better and quicker help for those affected in a crisis, he founded the Fritz Institute with his own funds in 2001 and had software developed for non-governmental organisations that could be used free of charge.

The Traton Logistics Leader of the Year award goes to Professor Michael Feindt (right), founder of the software company Blue Yonder. His idea: predictions in pricing and replenishment can be improved if they are made with the help of artificial intelligence. (cj)
