Luxcargo to follow Luxair - as expected
Luxcargo Handling, LCH, has been awarded a licence for ramp handling at Luxembourg airport which also permits the wholly owned subsidiary of Cargolux to handle third party airlines. The decision was announced following a tender process for two ground handling licences.
LCH will take over Luxair’s ramp and warehouse handling operations after the company had announced that it would be terminating its activities in this field after almost 50 years.
Cargolux president and CEO Richard Forson: "LCH’s takeover of Luxair’s ramp and warehouse handling services is a great opportunity for Cargolux to strengthen its position in the air cargo industry and to further enhance its service offering to its customers. LCH also looks forward to continuing the relationship Luxair had with other airlines besides Cargolux. We look forward to commencing operations in 2024." (ah)
