LTG Cargo now also active in Austria

In its first rail shipment from Austria to Lithuania, the Lithuanian freight carrier recently organised the transport of a special cargo of new rails on the European gauge.

The delivery from Leoben Donawitz via Austria and Czechia was handled by partner Rail Cargo Group, while the longest part of the journey - via Poland - was carried out by LTG Cargo's Polish subsidiary LTG Cargo Polska.

The train consisted of 25 wagons and carried 642 t of rails, which will be used by LTG Infra, the LTG Group's rail infrastructure network operator, for maintenance and repair work. The transported rails would be sufficient to build a railway section measuring almost 10 km. (ben)
