LTG Cargo launches KIT–Duisburg–KIT route
The first regular train from the Kaunas Intermodal Terminal (KIT) in Lithuanian to Duisburg (Germany) will leave on 4 April. It is the first international freight route to the West to be served by the LTG Group companies.
The LTG Cargo team, active in three countries, will provide transport services in Lithuania, while its subsidiary LTG Cargo Polska will be in charge of the train on the Polish and German networks.
The train will run three times a week in both directions on the new 3,040 km KIT–Duisburg–KIT route. It will be able to carry up to 36 semi-trailers and containers per journey. The launch of the new train is part of its diversification strategy, LTG Cargo carrier said. (ben)
