Lots of news from Korean Air Cargo
Korean Air Cargo is leaving Basel (Switzerland). As from 6 July 2019, the weekly B777F flights, which the Asian carrier has been operating from Seoul (South Korea) to the tri-border region in northwest Switzerland for years, will be moved to Zurich. Freight forwarders said: "This announcement certainly surprised us, since Korean Air Cargo was one of the pioneer carriers to transport airfreight from the Basel airport." The company gave no reasons for the move.
Meanwhile, the Skyteam Cargo member has awarded the management of its entire fleet of more than 16,000 containers and pallets to Unilode Aviation Solutions for a five-year term.
Finally, with regard to the handling of temperature-controlled shipments, Korean Air has been awarded the Iata CEIV pharma certification after completing the implementation of a strict management system. (ah)
