Lothar Thoma is the new head of air & sea at Gebrüder Weiss
Lothar Thoma has been appointed to lead the air & sea division at the logistics services provider Gebrüder Weiss. He has a PhD in economics. Thoma complements the executive board, joining Wolfram Senger-Weiss (chairman), Peter Kloiber and Jürgen Bauer.
As Gebrüder Weiss announced already in the middle of 2019, Thoma’s predecessor Heinz Senger-Weiss had decided to withdraw from his operative role within the company’s executive board at the end of the year. Thoma started working for the air freight and sea freight division at Gebrüder Weiss on 1 September 2019. Since then, he has been gradually taking over all activities in this field.
German by birth, Thoma has been working in the logistics sector for more than 20 years. Most recently he was chairman of the board and in charge of the overall business of an international logistics group. Before that, he held various executive positions in other international transport and logistics companies. (mw)
