London Gateway welcomes first tenants
The first manufacturers have joined DP World’s London Gateway Logistics Park, which is part of the Thames Freeport initiative. Ranson, a Belgian food and catering products company, and Destiny Entertainments, which imports and modifies audio and video products, will establish their hubs at the freeport in Q1/2024.
This move is part of the government's flagship policy aimed at stimulating trade, innovation, and job creation. By locating at London Gateway Logistics Park, the companies gain proximity to Europe's large consumer market and global connectivity to over 130 ports in 65 countries, along with the benefits of freeport customs procedures.
The combined 9290 sqm site will prioritise sustainability, holding an advanced Breeam 'Outstanding' rating. DP World's presence in the UK, along with its global network spanning 78 countries, handles 10% of world trade. (pb)
