Logistics to become more flexible on the Balkan
Following growing demand in the western Balkans the Austrian carrier ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has increased the frequency of its rail shuttle between Serbia and Croatia to two round trips a week. The TransFer link connects the Nelt container terminal near Belgrade with the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) in Rijeka, Croatia’s largest port.
It offers significant CO2 savings, compared to road transport, as well as additional services such as first and last-mile deliveries and regular status updates.
The increased frequency will make logistics between Serbia and Croatia more efficient and flexible, RCG said. The transport solution is open for both 20, 40 and 45 ft containers. (ben)
