Logistics for peripheral Covid-19 cargo
Russia's AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has completed five B747F charter flights with packaging machines for Covid-19 associated materials from Frankfurt to Atlanta. Over 200 t of machinery were delivered with German forwarder Geis Air + Sea to support local production facilities with efficient and viable packaging solutions.
Yulia Celetaria, global healthcare director of ABC's parent company Volga-Dnepr Group: "This summer season differs from the previous ones, as there has not been a single hint of the slow season. The success of our joint battle to contain the spread of Covid-19 lies not only in the scale of vaccine production facilities but also in well-timed logistics for so-called peripheral cargo – packaging, vials, injection syringe, PPE for medical personal and other associated items."
