Logista catches a big fly
In Spain, the Logista group is taking over 60% of the shares of Transportes El Mosca. The Spanish company specialises in the shipment and storage of frozen or refrigerated goods and in the transport of large cargo volumes, mainly for food industries. Transportes El Moscaalso also has an international maritime transport branch, focussing on dry and temperature-controlled goods.
A family business founded in 1936 and based in Molina de Segura in Murcia, Transportes El Mosca has a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles, employs nearly 1,100 workers, and runs a network of twelve national and international delegations totalling more of 50,000 sqm of warehouses.
In 2021, the company recorded sales of approximately EUR 250 million, with an ebitda of nearly EUR 25 million. The company generates more than 60% of its turnover with its international business. (sh)
