L.I.T. acquires Gübau Group
The L.I.T. Group has taken over the Gübau Group, based in Wolfsburg and Velbert (Germany), with retroactive effect from 1 January 2023. Gübau Logistics, Gübau Service and the subsidiary Vetra Spedition belong to the Braker group of companies. The takeover strengthens L.I.T.’s market presence in the automotive and hazardous goods sector.
"The Gübau Group is an absolute expert in the automotive and chemical industry. Through the takeover, we see several synergy effects in the automotive sector and a strengthening of the hazardous goods know-how in the Rhine/Ruhr metropolitan region," says Simeon Breuer, managing director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and member of the Board of L.I.T.
The two groups of companies know each other through their membership of the forwarding association Elvis and already cooperate in automobile transports. (mk)
