Lineas anchors presence in port of Rotterdam
Lineas has started shunting activities in Maasvlakte-West and thus gained a foothold in the port of Rotterdam. Three locomotives have been put into use on site, and they will be able to manage larger volumes in future.
Lineas also runs the last mile service to and from Maasvlakte and Botlek. The rail freight operator further guarantees the Rotterdam - Antwerp connection with its Green Xpress network.
To fulfil the new activities in the Netherlands, Lineas is leasing three G1206 locomotives fitted with ETCS, which is mandatory for operations in the Netherlands. (ben)
