Lineage Logistics acquires more cold storage facilities
Lineage Logistics, a USA-based provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions, has announced that, as part of its global expansion efforts, it has acquired two facilities from Van Soest Coldstores, a Netherlands-based organisation specialising in the storage and transfer of cooled and deep-frozen food products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Lineage acquired Van Soest’s facilities in Venlo, Netherlands, and Rijkevorsal, Belgium, to complement the company’s existing presence in both countries. Van Soest’s facility in Gamaren, Netherlands, a joint-venture and newly formed business, was not part of the transaction.
The acquisition will add more than 27,900 sqm of storage capacity to Lineage’s portfolio after current expansions are completed, a valuable addition to Lineage’s European cold storage capacities in 23 facilities in England, Scotland, Belgium and the Netherlands. (mw)
