Libya on the agenda
The Italian shipping company Tarros Group is introducing a new direct service from Italy to Libya by adding the port of call in Genoa to the current line, with a rotation schedule every 14 days. The new connection completes the range of destinations for traffic arriving from Northern Italy.
The liner is following a long tradition, as Massimo Tonarelli, line sales manager, commented: “It was April 1975, when Vento di Ponente Ship started its first voyage to Tripoli – Bengasi carrying 175 containers. Since then, Tarros Group has ensured an ongoing service to both population and market.”
The new rotation is as follows: Salerno (on inducement) - La Spezia – Genova – Malta – Tripoli – Misurata -Salerno. The Tarros Group, with 610 employees, connects 31 ports on the Mediterranean and is present in 16 countries. (sh)
