LG Cargo receives freight licence
The transfer of the cargo transport business from Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (LG) to the newly-established group LG Cargo is proceeding apace in Lithuania.
The relevant Lithuanian authority LTSA has completed approval procedures and issued a freight licence to the new entity. The licence allows LG Cargo to operate railfreight services within the county.
LG Cargo says it wants to evolve into a prominent logistics service provider in Central and Eastern Europe by 2030. LG Cargo shares are still controlled by the state-owned LG holding. (ben)
