Levelling up in Linz
Dachser is expanding its site in Hörsching near Linz, adding 3,050 sqm for industry goods handling as well as bringing its transshipment hub to 11,200 sqm. The project will focus on enlarging the hall at Dachser’s site, backed by an investment of EUR 6 million.
Originally opened in 2008, the logistics site at Hörsching has a transshipment hall of 8,’090 sqm and a building for office and administrative spaces. Directly adjacent is a warehouse with 30,500 pallet positions on 15,700 sqm.
The extension is set to increase key spaces as well as adding 40 new gates for loading and unloading. In total, the Austrian site will measure 125,000 sqm after all work is finished. A photovoltaic system on the roof of the hall extension and 160 sqm for new social spaces off the project. Construction began in March, with completion scheduled for mid-2025. (mk)
