Leadership restructured at Konecranes
Konecranes has decided to merge two business units, ‘service’ and ‘industrial equipment’, under one leadership, to strengthen its role as a lifting leader. From 1 June Fabio Fiorino, the current executive vice-president of the ‘service’ division, will head the ‘industrial service’ and ‘industrial equipment’ business fields.
Despite the leadership change, ‘industrial service’ and ‘industrial equipment’ will continue as separate financial reporting segments. The company will further develop the two industrial business fields’ operating model.
Carolin Paulus, the executive vice-president of the ‘industrial equipment’ unit, is leaving the firm on 31 May to pursue a career outside Konecranes.
The corporation’s 16,600 employees provide productivity-enhancing lifting solutions in 50 countries. (cj)
