Latam's "Solidary Plane" equal to the challenge
Due to its commitment and effort during the pandemic, Latam's "Solidary Plane" transported over 400 health professionals to address Covid-19 needs, enabled more than 300 people to receive medical treatment or urgent surgery and also carried out five special flights to transport stem cells for patients suffering from blood cancer.
Additionally, for the first time ever, in over 60-hour flights considering the round trip, it landed in China in order to fly in medical supplies. A team of more than 30 people participate in these flights' operations.
Francisca Arias, Group Head of Sustainability: "To this date, we have transported more than 400 t of medical supplies including masks, rapid Covid-19 tests, mechanical ventilators and medicines. This has benefitted Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina." (ah)
