Latam Cargo keeps Argentina connected
As a result of current market conditions, exacerbated by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the difficulty of building structural agreements with local industry actors, which has made it impossible to foresee a viable and sustainable long-term project, Latam Airlines Argentina ceases cargo and passenger operations for an indefinite period. This means the cessation of flights from and to 12 domestic destinations.
International destinations operated by the air cargo unit Latam Cargo will remain active according to their clients’ needs. Each week, Latam Cargo transports an average of 270 t of exported goods – including berries, fresh meats and pharmaceuticals – and 290 t of imported goods (mainly auto parts, industrial machinery and pharmaceuticals), supporting the country’s economy.
Latam Airlines Argentina is the only group’s affiliate that will cease operations. (ah)
