Laso transports for wind energy park
In Portugal, Laso Transportes has won the contract for the Sincelo wind farm project. It was launched at the beginning of 2021 and includes transporting 22 machines, or about 220 transports in total. The future Argomil-Mouro Wind Farm is located in a border area between the municipalities of Pinhel and Guard.
Seven wind turbines as well as the command building and the substation will be located in Pinhel, while six more wind turbines will operate in Guard.
Laso Transportes carried the equipment necessary for the construction of the farm on the A25 motorway via the Pinhel exit to Argomil. The heavy-lift specialist will ship nine complete wind machines until the end of June.
The project involves transporting the Aranda del Duero pipes (paddles, nacelle, hub, drive train) from Porto de Aveiro. The oversized components of the nacelle (13.05 x 3.98 x 4.19 m) weigh 72 t, the drive train (7.61 x 3.51 x 3.20 m) 65.82 t, the hub (5.47 x 3.96 x 3.77 m) 34.5 t and the wind blades (57.39 x 4.14 x 2.75 m) 13.6 t. The tubes range from 25 m to 18 m length and from 53.4 t to 31.7 t in weight. (sh)
