La Rochelle Port upgrades community system
The port community of La Rochelle Pallice is migrating to "S)One", the latest generation of the port community system developed by Soget. This collaboration dates back to 2011 and is now being adapted to the growth of France's sixth largest port.
Located halfway between the ports of Nantes-Saint Nazaire, another Soget partner, and Bordeaux, the port of La Rochelle Pallice handled almost 10 million t of goods in 2022, with cereals (+23.4%) and petroleum products (+10%) performing particularly well.
Soget president Hervé Cornède: "The revised solution gives users new options, such as transfers between temporary river or rail storages. For example, data tracing allows goods to be tracked from one consolidated temporary storage to another that may be at the other end of the country." (lh)
