Korean partnership to reduce CO2 in shipping
KR (Korean Register) and HD Hyundai Global Service have signed an MOU to collaborate on verifying maritime carbon reduction solutions. With increasing decarbonisation regulations, shipping firms are turning to digital technology to reduce carbon emissions more effectively.
This partnership aims to develop shipping and maritime big data and artificial intelligence technology to tackle these challenges. HD Hyundai Global Service will create a carbon emissions monitoring system using AI, API-based forecasting, and management solutions.
KR will assess the accuracy of HD Hyundai Global Service's 'Oceanwise' solution. The collaboration will support shipping companies in reducing carbon emissions and embracing eco-friendly digital technology. (pb)
