Korean Air starts double service to Budapest
Starting from today, 21 February 2020, Korean Air will commence a new scheduled cargo flight from Incheon (Seoul) to Budapest and Frankfurt, deploying a B777F twice a week. With the sharp boost of air cargo demand to Hungary due to the import for mobile devices from China and e-commerce from Korea, Korean Air forecasts improved profitability by developing the new cargo market. Only in November last year, Budapest airport officially opened its state-of-the-art cargo facility "BUD Cargo City".
Later this year, the Asian carrier will also add bellyhold capacity between Budapest and Incheon. Starting from 23 May, Korean Air will launch thrice-weekly direct flights between both capitals. The A330-200 deployed on this route has a capacity of up to seven pallets or 22 ULD. (ah)
