Korea founder Park handing over Jumbo management to Hwang
On 1 November, Ki Jun Park (left), managing director of Jumbo Korea, is handing over management to Jason Hwang, who joined Jumbo in 2017. Park will continue as an advisor to the board, so that Jumbo can continue to draw on his experience of the Asian heavylift market.
Park started Jumbo’s Korean office in 1997, building on the fact that Korea was (and still is) a large petro-chemical production market, with several big EPCs based in the country. Park laid the groundwork for a successful regional heavylift, breakbulk and project cargo network, and substantially added to Jumbo’s success.
Jumbo CEO Michael Kahn is pleased that "Park has taught Hwang the intricacies of the project cargo industry, which will ensure that Jumbo remains a well-respected name in Korea and the region." (amh)
