Konecranes supplies hybrid RTGs to Valencia
CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal has ordered seven Konecranes hybrid rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs), strengthening its commitment to lower-emission port operations.
The new units will join eleven hybrid RTGs already in use at the operator’s terminals in Valencia and Bilbao. Equipped with Konecranes' hybrid drive technology, the cranes reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. They also feature ‘active load control’, ‘gantry collision prevention’ and ‘truck lift prevention’, enhancing efficiency and safety.
“This investment is another step towards zero tailpipe emissions in our ports,” said Gustavo Ferrer Soriano, general manager at CSP Iberian Valencia. Delivery is scheduled for March 2026. (ah)
