King Abdulaziz Port hits another record
King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, reached a record in handling the highest volume of teu ever registered in a single month: last May, the port processed 206,145 teu.
In its press release, the port on the Arabian Gulf underlined its advantages as a competitive logistics destination with comprehensive capabilities, worldwide connectivity, and efficient operations. Already in 2022, King Abdulaziz Port rewrote the history books by processing 2,038,787 teu – its biggest tally to date in a calendar year.
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) also played a part in the efforts to strengthen the port’s position and boost Saudi Arabia’s economy and global trade in the maritime sector. (lh)
