King Abdul Aziz Port is 'linked in'

Regional Container Lines recently enhanced its RCL Gulf Adean (RGA) cargo service. The Saudi Ports Authority, known as Mawani, announced that the King Abdulaziz Port will be included in the service, operated by the Thailand-based shipping company.

Operative since 5 September 2023, the enhanced service establishes a direct connection between the port in Dammam and other hubs in Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East. The port rotation covers Cai Mep, Laem Chabang, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, and Sohar.

The port, which handled more than 210,000 teu in July, continues to attract global shipping companies to Saudi Arabian ports. Not unlike other players in the region, Saudi Arabia's 'Vision 2030' aims to make the country a global logistics destination. (pb)
