Keeping the wheels turning in the air
Within just two weeks, Czech cargo handler Skyport has handled over 11 t of automotive parts across six charter flights from Prague to Girona (GRO) in northeast Spain. Both ATR-42 and Saab 340 aircraft, operated by Air Charter Service (ACS), were utilised to fly the cargo to its destination.
Skyport CEO David Adamek: "We’ve been working with ACS for some time now and during the past month our cooperation has been very intense."
For each shipment, the motor parts were transported from the production site in Poland to Prague via truck and were already in transit at the time Skyport’s help was enlisted to prepare the cargo at the airport for its onward flight. As a result, it took approximately six hours from the first point of contact with Skyport to the departure of the flight. (ah)
