Kalmar and MPDC deepen collaboration
Kalmar has signed an agreement with the Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC) to deliver five T2i terminal tractors, four heavy forklift trucks and one medium forklift truck. Deliveries are set for completion by Q3/2025. The order includes the ‘MyKalmar Insight’ tool, to help MPDC analyse fleet data and improve operational efficiency.
MPDC, which will manage Maputo Port until 2058, is seeking to handle increasing cargo volumes more effectively. The additional equipment will expand its fleet of nearly 60 Kalmar units.
This collaboration highlights MPDC’s operational needs and Kalmar’s role in supporting functional enhancements. (pb)
