K+L investing in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
Kuehne + Nagel is investing in Wittenburg. The new location in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is to handle global spare parts logistics for a major company from the renewable energy sector. Construction began at the beginning of March 2023 and completion is scheduled for the turn of the year 2023/2024.
K+L is one of the world's largest logistics companies with over 80,000 employees at more than 1,300 locations in over 100 countries. It specialises in maritime logistics, air logistics, road logistics and contract logistics with a clear focus on integrated logistics solutions.
Customers in Germany, Europe and worldwide will be supplied with ore parts from the new location. Unloading, incoming goods inspection, storage, inventory management, order picking, packaging, loading and other additional services will also be part of the new hub’s portfolio.
The new site is being built by Panattoni on a property of around 70,800 sqm that was used for agricultural purposes in GDR times. (ben)
