Joint mission for Hope Consortium
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Ceva Logistics, the logistics arm of CMA CGM, and Abu Dhabi Ports on the UAE-led initiative Hope Consortium.
The consortium is the umbrella organisation of a UAE-based public-private partnership which was set up to address the logistical challenge of the worldwide distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.
It brings together some of the Emirate’s leading supply chain solution players, including Etihad Cargo, Abu Dhabi Ports, Rafed, Skycell alongside a group of specially selected international freight forwarders like Agility, Hellmann, K+N and, now, Ceva Logistics.
The consortium's aim is to provide a complete supply chain solution anywhere in the world that involves transportation, demand planning, sourcing and digital technology infrastructure for vaccines. (sh)
