Joining forces for autonomous ship tech
DNV and Brinav have signed an MoU aimed at accelerating the development and approval of autonomous and remote-controlled shipping technologies. This collaboration will focus on advancing maritime autonomous surface ships (Mass) and related safety systems, including the approval of situational awareness systems and navigation technologies.
Through shared expertise, the partnership seeks to enhance safety, efficiency, and decarbonisation within the maritime industry. Testing will be conducted at Qingdao’s 200 sq nm autonomous ship testing area. (pb)
