J.B. Hunt reaching the zenith
Zenith Freight Lines, a subsidiary of Bassett and based in Conover, NC (USA), is being acquired by J.B. Hunt Transport Services of a purchase of USD 87 million. When the transaction has been finalised, J.B. Hunt and Bassett will enter into a long-term services agreement which will keep up the service Zenith has performed for Bassett for almost 50 years.
Zenith posted revenues of USD 87 million in the fiscal year ending November 2021, with Bassett representing one-third of its business. The transaction will be paid in cash and is expected to close by 28 February 2022, subject to customary closing conditions. (sh)
